Whether your child has dreams of playing in the NHL or just wants to be on the ice, our Learn to Skate program will teach them the basic techniques such as proper stride, balance and edge work.
With a 5:1 student/teacher ratio, our Bob Acton Sports Learn to Skate program has a tremendous success rate as we emphasize fun and encouragement throughout the teaching process.
Your child should WANT to come to the rink!
Off the ice, we have tried to create as much flexibility in our Learn to Skate/Play program as possible for families:
YOU CAN BOOK AND TRANSFER SESSIONS BETWEEN AFTER SCHOOL HOCKEY AND OUR LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAMS.
SESSION PURCHASES ARE TRANSFERABLE BETWEEN FAMILY MEMBERS AND YOU ARE NOT LOCKED IN TO A LONG-TERM COMMITMENT.
SKATERS CAN JOIN THE PROGRAMS AT ANY TIME!
SESSIONS NEVER EXPIRE!
Graduate to Learn to Play!
Our Learn to Play Hockey sessions are a natural extension of Learn to Skate.
It is still part of our Learn to Skate program — same time, same rink, same session credits — but skaters can bring their hockey gear and stick and begin learning how to stickhandle, pass and shoot.
Ask our instructors if you skater is ready for Learn to Play!
BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS
When booking please remember that there are two types of accounts — a PARENT account that pays for sessions and a PARTICIPANT account, which is used to BOOK, CANCEL and VIEW SCHEDULES. Each will have its own log in information.
If you are just getting started, PLEASE EMAIL info@bobactonsports.com after you have create your accounts so we can LINK them and allow you to share your sessions between PARTICIPANTS. This allows parents to take advantage of our discounts for purchases of multiple weeks. However, you cannot spilt up a single week of camp between participants.
CANCELLATION POLICY
PLEASE NOTE: There are no classes on stat holidays, PA Days, Christmas Camp and March Break Camp days. Sessions can be used for Learn to Skate. You must sign your child into classes online before attending. Sessions may be shared with siblings but can’t be transferred to anyone outside of your immediate family. Cancellations are only accepted 6 hours before class start time. If you cancel after this time you will not be refunded a session.
