Bob Acton Sports Camps FAQs

At Bob Acton Sports, the safety and well-being of every camper is our top priority. We understand that parents want to feel confident knowing where their child will be, who to contact, what to expect each day, and how our staff will respond to different situations.

This FAQ has been created to provide families with clear information about camp procedures, emergency contacts, arrival and pickup, required equipment, meals, weather plans, medical needs, and other important details. Please review it before camp begins and share any questions or concerns with our team so we can help your child have a safe, comfortable, and positive camp experience.

When will I receive the camp itinerary?

An itinerary email is sent to all registered families on the Wednesday before camp begins. This email includes important information about check-in, the daily schedule, required equipment, what to bring, and other camp-specific details.

If you do not see the email in your inbox, please check your junk or spam folder. You may also have previously unsubscribed from Bob Acton Sports emails.

All itinerary details and camp information are also available on the individual camp pages on the Bob Acton Sports website.

What time is regular pickup?

Regular pickup is at 4:00 p.m.

Parents and guardians should arrive promptly to collect their campers.

Is late pickup available?

Late pickup is available until 5:00 p.m. for an additional $20 per day.

Please let camp staff know at morning check-in if late pickup is required and bring cash. All campers must be collected no later than 5:00 p.m.

Late pickup location is just outside the Bubble. If we have inclement weather, the late pickup location will move inside the Bubble.

What should my child bring to camp?

Every camper should bring:

• A lunch
• Snacks
• A refillable water bottle with plenty of water
• A hat
• An extra t-shirt (kids get sweaty!)
• Sunscreen (in spring/summer)
• Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
• Any sport-specific equipment listed in the camp information package

Please clearly label all personal belongings with your camper’s name.

Does Bob Acton Sports have a nut-free policy?

Yes. All Bob Acton Sports camps follow a nut-free snack and lunch policy.

Please do not send any food containing peanuts or tree nuts.

Is lunch provided?

Campers must bring their own lunch each day, except on Pizza Friday, when pizza is provided for lunch.

Campers should still bring snacks and a refillable water bottle on Fridays.

Does my child need to bring equipment?

Equipment requirements vary by camp.

Bob Acton Sports provides the equipment needed for Multisport Camp. Campers are welcome to bring personal equipment, such as a baseball glove or lacrosse stick, as long as it is clearly labelled.

Ball Hockey Camp requires a hockey helmet, hockey stick, and hockey gloves. Soccer shin guards may also be brought but are not required.

Hockey campers should bring their full hockey equipment. Our staff can assist campers with their skates when needed.

Will campers spend time outdoors?

Some camp activities may take place outdoors. Campers should arrive with sunscreen already applied and bring additional sunscreen, a hat, and weather-appropriate clothing.

What happens during bad weather?

In the event of rain, extreme heat, or other poor weather conditions, campers will be moved indoors to either the Bubble or Ted Reeve Arena.

Our staff will provide indoor games, sports, and other activities so campers can remain active, safe, and engaged throughout the day.

What happens if my child will be absent or late?

Please contact the camp team as early as possible if your child will be absent or arriving late by emailing info@bobactonsports.com.

For urgent same-day matters, contact Coach Marcus at +1 (647) 454-0158.

What should I do if my child has allergies or medical needs?

Parents must inform Bob Acton Sports of any allergies, medical conditions, medications, or additional support requirements before camp begins.

Please also speak directly with camp staff at check-in on the first day.

Can my child bring valuables or electronic devices?

We recommend leaving valuable items and electronic devices at home. Bob Acton Sports cannot be responsible for lost, damaged, or misplaced personal belongings.

Where do I check in my child?

Please look for Bob Acton Sports staff at the designated camp check-in area each morning.

Specific location and arrival information will be included in the welcome email and itinerary for your child’s camp.

Who is permitted to pick up my child?

Campers will only be released to a parent, guardian, or another adult authorized by the family.

Please notify camp staff at morning check-in if someone different will be picking up your child.
